NMHIC’s Third Annual HIE Users’ Conference will be exciting and unique! This multi-site live event will be held simultaneously in Santa Fe and Las Cruces on Friday, November 9, 2018. The two live sites will interact via web conference, and our keynote speaker will address both groups from the Rhode Island Quality Institute. The conference agenda offers interesting and motivating presentations and highly interactive sessions to further the vision of “Perfectly Informed Health Care” for all New Mexicans. NMHIC’s Second Annual HIE Users’ Conference was a success in bringing together healthcare professionals from around the state to collaborate on how to improve the quality of patient care through better information sharing across organizational divides. The conference was held in Albuquerque on November 4, 2017. Presentations and other proceedings from the event will be posted here, on the nmhic.org website, within a few weeks. ONLINE COURSE - Health Informatics Curriculum and Training for Transformation (HICATT)
HICATT, the Health Informatics Curriculum and Training for Transition program that was previously funded by the Office of the National Coordinator is available again! The HICATT course was offered until May, 2017 by the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Biomedical Informatics (SBMI) in partnership with the New Mexico Health Information Collaborative (NMHIC). The Continuing Education courses will now open to the public on October 9th and the cost is just $49 to access the materials for six months. This series is designed for participants in the health information exchange, and is open to all interested New Mexico stakeholders in our health care community. Each month, you’ll hear news, information, and user tips from NMHIC leadership and staffers. You will also hear interesting guest presentations on subjects of interest to the healthcare community, including inspiring examples of how interoperability is changing healthcare across the country.
